SECOND AND THIRD GRADES
Most of the second and third graders who participated in our After-School Program in 2006-2007 also took part in the program the prior year. They already were strong readers when they returned to the program in the fall of 2006 and so there was little room for improvement in their test scores. During 2006-32007, they maintained and solidified their skills as they continued to grow and develop. We are proud of the children’s growing enthusiasm for reading and we are pleased to see them increasingly taking charge of their own learning.
